On June 1, 2023, Aidan Chiles, the quarterback from Downey High School in California, had initially planned to commit to Oregon State.

However, he committed to the Beavers on June 9, shortly after an official visit to Corvallis.

Aidan shared, “It was clear that I wanted to be there on my first unofficial visit, but the official visit sealed the deal.”

Witnessing his family’s positive interaction with the Beavers coaching staff further affirmed his decision.

Speaking about his official visit, Aidan expressed his satisfaction, stating,

“The visit went amazing. Everything was great from the food to the recruits I met and the players I hung out with. My parents love the coaching staff and they have a really good relationship right now so the visit lived up to the hype for sure.”

He also highlighted the family-oriented approach of the coaching staff, saying,

“First of all, every time I talked to them it was about family. They didn’t compare to other schools, they talked and me and them and how we were going to be a family.”

Aidan chose the Beavers over other options, including Kansas State, Washington, and Washington State.
