Brian Early and Nanci Early are proud to be Dre Greenlaw parents.
Dre, the talented NFL linebacker, found not only success on the football field but also a second family in Brian and Nanci Early.
Their journey together began when Dre, a high school student, crossed paths with Brian Early, a dedicated defensive coach at Fayetteville High School.
Greenlaw was formally adopted at the age of 21 as a result of the Early family’s amazing generosity in opening their hearts and homes to him.
In 2019, he played in the San Francisco 49ers’ successful season, contributing to their 13-3 record and securing the #1 seed in the playoffs.
Dre Greenlaw’s professional journey began when the San Francisco 49ers drafted him in the fifth round (148th overall pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Before his NFL career, Dre Greenlaw honed his skills at Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Notably, he was a part of the Fayetteville High School football team that won the Class 7A state championship in 2011.
Following high school, Greenlaw continued his football journey at the University of Arkansas and was named to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette preseason “Super Sophomore” team in 2012.

With Dre’s biological parents out of the picture, Greenlaw spent most of his childhood in the foster care system since he was 8. Later, during his foster care days, he connected with the Earlys.
The football linebacker played football at Fayetteville, where Brian was the defensive coach. The two athlete-coach duo formed a close bond beyond the football field.
When Brain learned that Dre might be moved to another foster home, he made the compassionate and life-changing decision to invite Dre to live with them.
Eventually, the Earlys adopted him, making him an integral part of their family.
There is little information about Dre’s mother, Nanci Early. However, she is reported to be a Prairie Grove High School alumna.
Whereas Brian Early’s professional journey has been marked by his remarkable coaching career in college football.
On January 18, 2019, he took on the role of defensive line coach at the University of Houston after successfully serving in the same position at Arkansas State for five seasons.
As of 2023, Brian Early is entering his fifth season as a Houston Cougars coach. His dedication to coaching and player development is evident in the consistent success of the teams he’s worked with.
Moreover, Dre Greenlaw parents, Brian and Nanci, have built a loving family with four children: Sydney, Aivery also goes by the name AJ, Camryn, and, of course, Dre.
In 2020, their family circle expanded with the arrival of Dre’s son, whose name remains undisclosed. To Brian’s delight, his grandchild affectionately addresses him as “G-Daddy.”
